John Harper Publishing

John Harper Publishing, based in London, was founded in 1999 but continues the publication of a number of standard reference titles dating back to earlier years.

Our small and highly selective list is focused on two main areas:

European Union, where we publish the premier series of books on the key institutions of the European Union, with each title being periodically updated. The oldest of these titles - The European Parliament - first appeared in 1990 and is now in its 7th edition, while in June 2008 we brought out our first book on the European Council. In this area we also publish the market-leading Ultimate EU Test Book for candidates for the concours.

Global Political Reference includes several books regarded as the standard works in their field, covering topics including political parties, revolutionary and dissident movements, border and territorial disputes, treaties and alliances and trade unions. The oldest of these titles, Treaties and Alliances of the World, has been continuously in print since 1968, and was most recently updated in 2007. All of these titles have appeared in multiple editions.
