  John Harper Publishing, based in London, was founded in 1999 and publishes exclusively in the area of government, public administration and politics.

  Our main focus is on the European Union, where we publish the premier series of books on the institutions of the European Union: our oldest EU title, The European Parliament, has been in print for 21 years, through eight editions.  We also publish the market-leading preparation book for candidates for EU recruitment competitions, The Ultimate EU Test Book, now available in both Administrator and Assistant editions.

  In addition to our primary EU focus, we continue to publish a number of library reference books in the area of Global Political Reference, where Political Parties of the World is our flagship title. In this area of publishing our North American partner is Gale-Cengage.
