The Competency Passport is a written document issued by EPSO to all candidates who have participated in the assessment centre, the final stage of the recruitment selection procedure for EU officials.
The competency passport includes an overview of the results of the assessment of the candidate, based on the competency framework that was created by EPSO, and is used throughout the EU administration in the appraisal and career development process. For successful EPSO candidates, who are placed on the reserve list of the competition, it becomes part of their EU official personal profile, used by recruiters and other human resources professionals for planning future training and development needs. For unsuccessful candidates, the competency passport serves as a benchmark report so they can draw individual conclusions and improve where needed.
The Ultimate EU Career Development Book and the associated online toolkit enable you to establish your own EPSO-like competency passport, without having to go through a full assessment centre. It will provide you with valuable insights and awareness of your own general competencies.
