Johari Window

The Johari Window is a model for mapping awareness of your own competencies. By describing yourself from a fixed list of anchors, then asking your friends and colleagues to describe you from the same list, a grid of overlap and difference can be built. It is particularly interesting to see how your behaviour is perceived differently by others (the 'BLIND' area), or otherwise what is known by you but not by them (the 'HIDDEN' area), as this can help you to adjust your self-assessment.
