Border and Territorial Disputes of the World

Border and Territorial Disputes of the World BORDER AND TERRITORIAL DISPUTES OF THE WORLD
4th Edition - July 2004

"This is an excellent book which covers a field where reliable and up to date information is not always easily obtained, at least not in this depth. It belongs in all major general reference libraries or any collection where international relations or modern history are the subject of advanced study". Reference Reviews, March 2005

"A factually dense but thoroughly browsable research tool", International Affairs, January 2005

Edited by Peter Calvert, Emeritus Professor of Comparative and International Politics, University of Southampton

Border and Territorial Disputes was first published in 1982 and this is the first revision to be published since 1992. It provides reference data on nearly 100 international border and territorial disputes worldwide. In addition to major high-profile disputes – such as Israel and its Arab neighbours, Kashmir, the division of Korea, Iran and Iraq, Iraq and Kuwait, China and Taiwan, and divided Cyprus – the book covers numerous less well known unresolved disputes, some with significant potential for conflict. As well as detailed accounts of the history and current status of each dispute, the book includes a series of supporting maps and a detailed index.
